This chapter helps the reader understand the role of creativity in generating innovation, acknowledge the level of sacrifice required for entrepreneurial leadership, apply principles to build a culture of innovation, and apply key learnings from previous chapters to the journey of starting a healthcare business. Entrepreneurship is most commonly related to individuals; however, entrepreneurship emerges in a variety of settings, including small or large companies, nonprofit organizations, government entities, and sole proprietorships. The chapter takes the reader on a journey describing how the author started his company, Health Care Logistics, Inc. (HCL), by battling complexities, identifying the customer’s pain, and meeting the needs of the consumer.
