Abstract

Over the years, it is found that many families first learned about ketogenic diet therapies, not from their neurologists, but from the internet. There is a lot of good information out there from reputable sites that deal with epilepsy. Ketogenic diet parent support groups are growing in popularity, and their websites are usually the best places to get information and advice. However, proceed with caution, as there is also potential misinformation available on the internet. Some websites may be designed with good intentions but share information that might be true for one child on the ketogenic diet, but is not true for most others based on medical literature. In worst cases, these suggestions can be harmful. This chapter briefs on ketogenic diet support around the world. It presents the partial list of other websites that are found helpful.
