This chapter helps the reader to appreciate the power inherent in effective use of resources; articulate the interrelationship between quality of care (processes and outcomes) and healthcare finance models; and utilize financial management tools, such as budgeting, to support the best use of resources. It also helps the reader to determine various means of revenue and resource generation for the delivery of healthcare and recognize financial and practice opportunities related to emerging patterns in the provision of care.
