Presenting our work, especially for introverts who have never spoken in front of an audience, can be very challenging. We are likely to be giving presentations to both our university and the agency where we did the work. We may also be presenting the results to the participants in our work or members of the media. Take every opportunity we can to tell others about our work. Presentations can be intimidating and exhilarating! When we are presenting about a topic that you feel very close to, like our capstone project, we may feel vulnerable since we are close to the topic. For the few people who may take issue with some part of our presentation, remember that if they don’t know us personally, there is no reason to take their comments personally. Preparation, practice, patience, and professionalism are the universal ingredients of a successful dissemination project.
